University Room Tour

Published by Jasmine Langcaster-James on

I recently graduated from the University of East Anglia, and before I left my house I wanted to document the room that was my home for my final year in Norwich. I filmed a little video of all my favourite corners of my room simply for myself to look back on in years to come, and then thought: why not upload it to Youtube?

When I was first going to University I spent hours and hours watching university room tours to get inspiration and to feel more prepared for when I would first move out. So I hope my video can give others a little inspiration or comfort knowing that not all university bedrooms have to be empty, ugly and worn: add some fairy lights, some ‘command’ hooks for photo frames and lots of cosy cushions and it’ll feel homey in no time. I even changed out the curtains that the room came with to something a little less dark and heavy to let more light in (if you’re going to do this, make sure you put the original curtains back up before you leave)!

Enjoy the video, feel free to comment on the video or this post asking where anything in my room is from, let me know your best tips for making a rented space feel more homey, and if you’re off to university this September!
